Brody spent much of his first birthday with his grandparents and Mommy. Unfortunately Dave had to work most of the day, but he got to join us at Target for family pictures thankfully!
Hi, Target shoppers! Today is my first birthday! =)
Back at home, Brody practiced walking A LOT! Though he took several steps at a time before, his birthday was when he started walking really well. It was so fun to watch him zoom all over the place in his unsteady way! =)
He also enjoyed watching Grandma bake all his cakes and cupcakes for his party the next day!
AND, he was a VERY big helper for Granny and Grandma...he helped load the dishes in the dishwasher! =)
For his birthday dinner, he enjoyed chicken spaghetti, peas, and green beans! Mmmm!! =)

Brody was SO HAPPY to see Daddy when he got home! He walked right over to him to be picked up! I love it! =) (Notice how happy Jerry is in the background....)
After Daddy got home (after 8 pm sadly...), we opened all of Brody's presents from family...as you can see, he was very well loved!!! =) That's a LOT of gifts for such a small little boy!!
Though he didn't try to open them himself, he always liked what was inside the package! It was so fun watching him try and see what each gift was all about!

Here is Brody's first birthday cake...white cake with white icing and Twizzlers. My mom did an awesome job making it!! =)
Daddy got the honors of bringing him his cake, while the rest of us sang...
He wasn't so sure about all the icing and cake, but he is a HUGE FAN of Twizzlers we found out that night! =)

Happy 1st Birthday, sweet boy!!! Daddy and Mommy love you VERY, VERY much and we are so thrilled that God put you in our lives! We can't believe it's already been a whole year since the day you were born!!
